Our Security team is available to help 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Around the clock security

The University’s Security team is available to help 24 hours a day, seven days a week, throughout the whole year, both on and off campus.

If there is an emergency call 666 from a landline or 01225 383999 from a mobile phone.

Student welfare

As well as keeping the University safe, our Security team is always available to help you with any welfare issues.

All Security staff are trained in first aid at work and mental health first aid, so they can provide pastoral care and welfare support.

They work closely with the Student Services team, to refer you if you need further help.

You can also approach the security team to ask for advice on crime prevention.

Our dedicated accommodation Security team patrols the residences and offers support to students 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

A safe and secure campus

Other initiatives and services managed by our Security team include:

  • Over 500 security cameras across campus
  • First response to any fire alarms
  • Secure electronic door access for many buildings, including accommodation
  • Secure bicycle storage
  • Security for events
  • Supporting the Students’ Union security team when needed

The University of Bath is accredited by Secured Environments and has been named the second safest University in the country.
